Fall Friendzy[object Object]

To warm your heart during the month of October, the Houston SPCA is lowering the normal adoption fee for all beautiful black dogs and all orange and black cats, 6 months and older, to half-off the normal adoption price.

Read more about how you can "Fall in Love" at the Houston SPCA.

Time is Running Out

The social event of the season is almost here, but you still have time to join us for the 2010 Houston SPCA Soiree, Le Pooch. The event takes place Saturday, November 6th at Hotel ZaZa and promises to be the place to be seen. Individual tickets are NOW AVAILABLE.

Click here for your personal invitation and to see the fabulous photos from our Kick Off party at Neiman Marcus-Galleria.

Saga of Voiceless Victims Continues

The Houston SPCA welcomed an additional 40 dogs from various Louisiana shelters last month. The dogs were part of an ongoing program to help them find new homes after the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico caused many to be left homeless.

Learn more and see video of their arrival here.

Strut Your Mutt

Fetch your sneakers and your furry friend for the 2011 Houston SPCA Mutt Strut and Runway Race, presented by Houston Airport System and sponsored by VCA Animal Hospitals. This is your opportunity to strut your stuff with your mutt on the runway at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday, March 5, 2011.

Read more and register here for the 2011 Mutt Strut.

Doxy Goes Mobile

Doxy and her new family recently visited the Houston SPCA to pick up her mobility cart.  Back in August, Doxy, a two-legged dachshund mix, was surrendered to the Houston SPCA because her family was moving out of the country and was not able to take her along.

Watch new video of Doxy taking her cart for a spin.

Critter Camp Registration

For future veterinarians and kids who live animals, this camp is for you!  Registration for the Winter Holiday Critter Camp is now open and includes animal themed crafts and games, as well as opportunities to learn more about the animals we love so much.

Get more information and register here.

Top Ten Reasons To Adopt

There are lots of great reasons to adopt from the Houston SPCA.  Our terrific staff came up with the 10 best ones in a brand new video on the Houston SPCA TV Channel.

New Lost & Found Feature

Nothing feels worse than when a pet turns up missing.  We recently added a new feature to our Lost & Found page that allows people to spread the word across a variety of social networking sites.  It can also alert people that a pet has been found as well.  It's just one more way the Houston SPCA is working to help our furry friends.
